These are characters, not fonts

Nothing here installs a font. Each style swaps your letters for different Unicode characters that happen to look bold, italic, circled or handwritten. A becomes the separate character MATHEMATICAL BOLD CAPITAL A, which already looks bold wherever it is displayed.

That is why the result survives copy and paste into a profile, a message or a document that offers no formatting at all. It is also why the effect is out of your control: how it looks depends on the fonts installed on the reader's device, and some apps replace or strip the characters entirely.

How to use it

  1. Type or paste your text at the top.
  2. Every style updates as you type.
  3. Press Copy next to the one you want.
  4. Paste it wherever you need it.

What happens to characters a style cannot represent

They are passed through unchanged. Unicode has bold letters and digits, but not a bold comma; it has small capitals for most letters, but not for x; superscript covers the alphabet except q. Where a match does not exist, you get the original character rather than a gap or a replacement box. Nothing is ever silently deleted.

Accented letters, non-Latin scripts and emoji are also left as they are — the styled ranges only cover basic Latin letters and digits.

Accessibility: please read this one

A screen reader does not see a bold A. It sees MATHEMATICAL BOLD CAPITAL A, and depending on the software it may read the full character name, spell the word out letter by letter, or skip it. Styled Unicode also breaks search: someone searching for your name in ordinary letters will not find it.

Use these styles for decoration — a display name, a flourish in a caption, a divider. Do not use them for anything a person needs to read or find: contact details, instructions, prices, terms, or the body of a post.

The styles

  • Weight and slant — bold, italic, bold italic, sans-serif variants and monospace, from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block.
  • Decorative — script, bold script, fraktur, double-struck, small capitals, superscript and full width.
  • Boxed — circled, squared, their filled versions, and parenthesised.
  • Lines — strikethrough and underline, made with combining marks that attach to each character.
  • Playful — upside down, which flips the characters and reverses the line.

Length limit

Input is limited to 2000 characters. Styled text uses several bytes per character, and these styles are meant for names, bios and short lines rather than long documents. Nothing is truncated — the tool asks you to shorten instead.
